Composites Technology program at SMCC
Southern Maine Community College boasts one of the top composites technology and advanced manufacturing academic programs in the U.S. The program, led by Professor Andrew Schoenberg, at the Maine Advanced Technology and Engineer Center (MATEC) and University of Maine Brunswick Engineering school on SMCC’s Midcoast Campus.
SMCC’s Composites Engineering Research Lab (CERL) is a one-of-a-kind facility. Students of the program have access to training that puts them in position to immediately hit the ground running as they enter the composites / advanced materials and aerospace/aviation industries.
Manufacturers that are considering Brunswick Landing will have access to workforce training programs affiliated with the college, which is located right here on campus.
