MRRA Sells Former Navy Firehouse at Topsham Commerce Park
The Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority recently closed on the sale of the former Navy Firehouse (Building 336) at Topsham Commerce Park (TCP). The Firehouse will become a new gymnastics facility, known as Firehouse Tumbling.
MRRA Executive Director Steve Levesque said the sale proceeds will be dedicated toward clean-up of the remainder of the TCP triangle by demolishing building 333 and completing the foundation demolition of the former Marine complex.
“With these improvements the remainder of the property will have much nicer aesthetics and be easier to market,” Steve said. “We plan to complete this work this summer.”
Once Building 333 (47 Can-Am Drive) is demo-ed, TCP will have additional acreage and developable land to go along with Wicked Joe’s Coffee Roasters in the former Commissary building and Firehouse Tumbling.
