Projects to Bid, Improvements to Runway 1R-19L Brunswick Executive Airport
Sealed Bids for Crack Seal, Remark Pavement, and Improve Electrical on Runway 1R-19L at the Brunswick Executive Airport will be received by the owner at the Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority, 15 Terminal Road, Brunswick, Maine 04011 until 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 5, 2015 local time and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
The work includes paint removal and pavement marking on the asphalt and concrete portions of Runway 1R-19L and the concrete portions of Taxiways A, A1 and A4. Other work includes crack sealing on the asphalt portion of Runway 1R-19L, removal of 320 centerline lights in the concrete and asphalt portions of Runway 1R-19L and removal of handholes, replacement of handhole covers and installation of duct banks and light cans in concrete at the end of Runway 19L.

All requests for delivery of bid documents shall include a $20.00 non-refundable shipping and handling charge in addition to the $50.00 purchase price. Prospective bidders are asked to provide information on whether they are Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) or not in order to comply with FAA regulation. Prospective bidders will be asked to provide this information at time of plan purchase.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Brunswick Executive Airport, 15 Terminal Road, Brunswick, ME. This will be the only time for prospective Bidders or subcontractors to view the site. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in the bidding or to reject any or all bids.
Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount of 5% of his bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the General Provisions.
Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. The Contractor on this work will be required to comply with the equal employment opportunity requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration and the Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority Disadvantaged Enterprise Program.
No bidder may withdraw his bid prior to September 30, 2015.
